PR people using Twitter

A few months ago I blogged about a site listing all the PR people using Twitter providing a one-stop-shop for the industry. It’s now quite comprehensive and well worth looking at if you want to have a low down of who uses Twitter in PR. It is worth looking at and checking out a few of the feeds:

UK Media People on Twitter

If you haven’t added your name to it and you work in PR it is worth giving it a go. I still firmly believe that if you want to get ahead in our industry you need to be using Twitter (as the current embodiment of vanguard communication techniques online). Others disagree with me. That’s allowed but until you’ve tried it you won’t know…

And why? Consider this. Client asks agency ‘What’s Twitter and how can I use it to communicate my message?’ Agency says ‘I dunno’. Client says ‘Then what am I paying you for?’ Job done, that’s why if you work in PR/PA you should be using Twitter. Rather simplistic I grant you, but in a time of potential economic woe for our industry those who will survive and prosper will be those who stay ahead of the pack.”
